The Parks and Recreation Department is funded through user fees and the proceeds of a
dedicated ½ cent sales tax. Parks and Recreation Director, Kurt Clauss, has retired.  It was his pleasure to serve the residents and work alongside his staff during his 29 years of service. Together he and his staff were responsible for operating and
maintaining the hundreds of acres of park land, numerous picnic shelters/sites, a community
center, all fields and the cities 9 hole golf course. Mr. Tim Younker, previously the Recreations Supervisor,  is now Director of Parks and Recreation. Ms. Elizabeth Vorbeck, previously the pool manager, will take over as Recreation Supervisor.
