The Rescue Ranch and Junie Moon's--Spaces Available
(Wednesday May 15, 2013)
Nestled among 165 acres of woodland near Union, Missouri, the Humane Society of Missouri's Long Meadow Rescue Ranch is a haven for hundreds of abused and neglected horses, cows, goats, pigs, ducks and other farm animals. The ranch is one of the most comprehensive horse and farm animal care and rehabilitation centers in the country. In addition to animal care, ranch staff provide hands on himane education experiences for groups of all ages.
We will begin out day visiting the farm, having guided tours and break up into two groups. Some of you who are not able to walk the grounds can stay closer to the barn ( with a cement floor and places to sit) and a tour guide will talk abot the farm and all they do. For those who are able and a little more adventurous, you can walk a little further out onto thier vast property...some can even take a hayride out to the edge of the property and your guide will show you the pastures and animals out in the fields. Either way, you will get a real understanding of the work they do and get an up-close, hands on experience with some of the animals they help there. A great day enjoying the great outcome of so many mistreated animals that are now being taken care of and are doing so well.
Then its off to Junie Moon's where you are ON YOUR OWN for lunch. They offer sandwichs, soups, salads, burgers, wraps, and even meatloaf, pork chops and BBQ! Make sure and makr on the sign up sheet if you would like to take the hayride so we can get a head count. Minimum of 10 and Maximum of 25 per wagon. Don't miss this fun day to experience all of these great animals and thier success stories!

St. Ann Senior Wii League

Every Monday from 1-3pm we have a Senior Wii League here at the community center. We encourage all seniors to stop by and check out the Wii game, and enjoy some friendly competition.
The price is right (free), there's no slick lanes to worry about falling on, no heavy ball to toss down the lane, and best of all if your wobbly, just sit in a chair.
Wii truly is a game for everyone.
Visit or contact the senior office for more information on these trips.
